A self-taught artist, she created hundreds of handwritten books, thousands of photographs, wooden sculptures, paper cuttings, icons, and illustrations. Thankfully, much of her work has been preserved.
The museum features her books, vintage photographs, artistic creations, as well as personal belongings and furniture. Part of the collection is housed in the former village council building; the rest is in her original home, kept almost exactly as it was during her lifetime. Paraska lived humbly, spending many years without electricity, yet her art radiates depth and light.
The museum hosts guided tours, intimate cultural events, workshops, and quiet conversations about the Hutsul world — all accompanied by Paraska’s gentle voice, which lives on in her handwritten texts and poetic phrases.
